BREVARD COUNTY — The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued a Florida Missing Child Alert early Friday for a teenage boy in Brevard County

10:45 a.m. update:

The Brevard County Sheriff’s office said a 16-year-old boy missing from the Melbourne area has been located and is safe.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has issued a Missing Child Alert for a teen from south Brevard County.

Investigators said the boy, 16, was last seen around the 2200 block of Trava Lane in Melbourne.

FDLE described the teen as:

  • Age: 16 years
  • Height: 5 ft. 10 in.
  • Weight: 165 lbs.
  • Hair: Brown
  • Eyes: Brown
  • Last seen wearing: White hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, white shoes, dark backpack
