GROVELAND, Fla. — The Sunshine Water Plant has been temporarily shut down as crews repair a water main break directly outside the facility, Groveland officials said Tuesday.
The affected area remains under a precautionary boil-water notice. Residents should continue following boil-water guidance until the city lifts the notice.
The city’s water system is working to supplement the loss of pressure. Field crews are also testing water pressure throughout the area while assessing the damage.
The affected area includes parts of northern Groveland outlined in pink on the city’s map. Residents along Cherry Lake Road, State Road 19, Wilson Lake Parkway and U.S. 27 were previously warned of possible impacts.
Officials said additional updates will be released as repairs continue.
