ORLANDO, Fla. — Four boys ranging in age from 12 to 14 are in custody facing felony charges of aggravated battery after investigators said video of the them beating up an Orlando teen was shared on social media.

And now Orlando Police Chief Orlando Rolon said his officers are looking into whether those four boys were involved in other recent random mob attacks.

“We had two similar incidents that occurred in the city of Orlando … then one having to do with a residence. It was shocking to see that, and disturbing. It bothered me,” Rolon said.

One of the four suspects in the beating made his first appearance in court Friday.

Police said one of the suspects, Trayvon Napoleon, 12, was arrested Wednesday. He made his first appearance in front of a judge Thursday, where the judge ordered him to stay in custody for at least 21 days.

Two other suspects, Jeremiah Henderson, 13, and Gregory Sessler, 14, were arrested Thursday. Officers said the final suspect, Brandon Pickett, 14, was taken into custody Friday.

Sessler walked into court Friday in a jail jumpsuit, escorted by his mother.

Police said video showed the group of boys throwing 14-year-old Miguel Morales Jr. to the ground and stomping on him at the Dr. James R. Smith Recreational Complex Saturday afternoon.

In a separate case, an Orlando mother said a mob of teens destroyed her home and beat up her 15-year-old son. In that case, police said two 14-years-olds were arrested and charged with home invasion and battery.

“It’s a message for all of our youth, all of our parents to be mindful of the kids activity … and for the kids to understand actions like this have consequences,” Rolon said.
